This is a picture of the pond in our front yard....finally all the snow is gone and I can see water! I am sooo glad to spring on its way...now to deal with the mud! It was hard for me to get all of the pond in I will have to try better on the next one.
I am going to try and get some scrapping done today it has been way tooo long!
This is a picture my my friends niece Angie....I just love her to pieces...we have had sooo many great memories! I had such a good time seeing all of Karry's family....it was awesome to see how a family should be... supportive and loving....I am sooo blessed that they have "adopted" Gary & I into their family.
New You Tube video added to bottom of blog ....scroll down to bottom of page.
These are some of the cuts from the Serenade cartridge. When ever I get a new cart I do practice cuts in white card stock for future reference and I normally do a 1 1/2" cut and a 3" cut to get an idea on the sizes.
The trees and bird cages are 3" cuts (Bigger ones are 4 1/2")
the butterflies and clouds 1 1/2"
I love all the trees and those bird cages will look amazing on my Websters Pages paper.
And these clouds are sooo adorable. I am sooo blessed that Yvonne let me borrow this cartridge. I will be buying this when it comes out in April this is for sure.
Here is Aden after lunch getting ready for his bath....gosh I just love this lil guy!!!! This was taken with Shane's camera I love the shutter speed (is that what its called?) I can really get a lot of pictures taken with this one! Plus the colors are just perfect!
Check out the moon tonight! It was such a clear sky tonight I am sooo thrilled with the shots I got. Not even sure why the one is pink but I think it is kinda cool. If any of you know why and how it's pink please let me know....
If you are a Bachelor fan make sure to visit Maggie's site(just add glitter and stir) for the recap...her link is on my side bar....I am sooo excited to read it in the morning.
Sorry I didn't get this posted last night. I was soooo tired from the night before being up so late and having to work I told the girls they were safe for the Picture of the day. I wanted to take a full moon shot but it was way too cloudy.
So the Blue Jay is the one I am posting, I thought this was different I never seen their feathers up like this on their crown I think that is what it is called. He had his beak all covered in snow from looking for seed since this was before the feeder was filled yesterday morning.
Still way behind on getting to some of your blogs I promise I will catch up.
Here is a picture of Aden after his morning nap watching the birds with Joy....sorry about the light but I had to snap this it was just too precious to me. I am sooo amazed by how good Aden is with the dogs....he is just the sweetest lil guy ever! And they girls just love him every morning they welcome him with excitement.
The other shot is who I caught in the feeder.
I will try and catch up on your blogs this weekend. When John came and picked up Aden I went to bed then got up at 7 pm. Poor Gary house was a mess from all the toys and books still out. Then got up made dinner and picked up the house went to bed at 12 and woke up at 2am and 4am in pain with my feet hurting......like a dummy I didn't drink my water and paid the price for it!
I finally have some free time this morning to post last night photo. This is Kelly that is filling in for Theresa while she is out on medical leave. I have enjoyed working with her.....she really was putting out the new freight last night I was impressed.

This is a picture of Joy and Dora outside playing sorry it is not centered...Joy was running sooo fast I couldn't keep up with her! Ya wouldn't think with only 2 inches of leg she could go so fast!
She is a riot.....and brings me sooo much Joy! Not sure if some of you know how I got Joy but I will share....my son and daughter in law got her for me after Mom passed away and step-father 14 days later in 2005....she was born around the same time which was the Christmas holidays so when I was naming her I decided on Joy...due to me getting some joy back into my life. I really think this is one of the best gifts I have ever received she is such a good lil dog and has brought sooo much joy to my life.
Sorry I haven't been to your blogs yet it has been a very rough week for me emotionally hearing that my friends cancer is in stage 4.....I can't stop crying and have cried my eyes raw...not sure how I will make it at work tonight....Aden has been a blessing he helps me focus on him and caring for him.....we will be soon starting the potty training soon as he will be 2 in April, I found him a Lightening McQueen potty chair on line so hopefully that will help.....he seems to be excited about it....
Sandy keep praying and thank you soooo much for all your prayers...
This is a picture of Sandy one of my co-workers..I don't get to see much of her so it was nice to get to work with her today. God blessed me with another awesome day at work. Helped this lady wanting some fake fur...for her son to run his fingers thru.....why because he loves running his fingers through her hair....I swear I was almost in tears when I seen her pick him up and this cute lil boy running his fingers all thru his mothers hair.....a sight I will never forget soo precious!
Here was this stylish Mom with the trendy cut and her son lovin her that way...
Here is a picture of the pizza tonight...we had Marco's...I think Gary likes getting Marco's due to he can pop into the Eagles and grab a cold one and visit! He does pretty good on winning the drawings which is awesome when he gives me half of his winnings!! So that's whay I am lovin' the Marco's pizza night!!!
I was working on 2 layouts all day here is a sneak peak of one that will be posted tomorrow.....I will replace it with the layout after it is posted on the SOUS site. I didn't get the other one finished will work on it tomorrow.
I had no computer time at all today will catch up in the morning on your blogs.
***here is the finished layout for those of you who don't visit my Brenda'sjoy blog. More close ups and details on what I used are posted there and the sketch that is sooo beautiful!
Joy here I am again late with my post!!! Noooo it's not a bird this time! Why I decided on this one is because of the distance Gary is guessing it is 100 feet from the house! Aden was having lunch and I spotted him out the patio door...it was driving the girls nuts because they couldn't see him and I was going on "awww how cute a lil squirrel".
I am amazed at my camera getting this shot that far away this is way back by Gary's shed.
I know another bird picture!!! It was snowing again yesterday and I seen my lil woodpecker and thought it would be his turn! I am thinking this is a Hairy woodpecker but it might be a Downy one will do more research to find out for sure...he is pretty anyway!
Again didn't get it posted last night...more company! I have been teaching Gary's brother how to use the computer...JOY! I even let him play one of my favorite games Charlie the Duck....I know but I love Charlie have been playing him for years. It took me forever to beat the first one getting 100% on all the levels then when I did it took all my scores away after all the streamers and balloons and big congratulations....what a bummer! Now working on Charlie 2 the expansion pack......sooo many hidden areas!
It is going to be a long day for me today I went to bed at midnight was up at 2am feet hurting sooo bad....my brother drank my last revive vitamin water....I kid you not if I don't drink that water I am in bad shape with those awful cramps!
This is the picture I took yesterday....didn't get it posted last night due to company not leaving until way tooo late.
This is my back yard and going through the trees is the path we have created to go through the woods. We have a trail that the boys ride their 4 wheeler and dirt bike as well as all the neighbors use the trail as well. I will have to get a layout done from the pictures that my son took on Halloween when Adens dad made it and his woods into a haunted trail..I was tooo busy playing with my brand new Cricut Expression that Angie bought me that night!!!
I often teased Gary that I was going to make it a yellow brick road!
It was a sad day for me yesterday when I found out due to a new company policy that I could no longer be on a Design Team and promote another companys products. It broke my heart to make that call to Kristina I felt it was better to do that than an email...she gave me my first DT and always has supported my work.
Whoops again here is the picture I took at work on Sat forgot I didn't get it posted. Ended up with company last night and my poor feet were hurting sooo bad! I stayed on the recliner and kicked back! This is Sherry she has been dodging me since I started this 365 project! Got ya!!!!
This is a picture of Aden eating a fudge cycle...this is the first time I had gave him one and by the way he was flipping out I think his first one!! There was sooo many pictures that I took to choose from but this one is sooo adorable!
The real reason I gave it to him was to put him in the high chair for a bit....he is getting good on his Lightning McQueen car...and I was being chased down!!! And it was killing me to walk let alone try to run from him!!
This is a picture that I took last night at work this is one of my co-workers Tana. She didn't run from me! We have a new Store Manager filling in while Theresa is recovering from her surgery. I miss her! If you want to save some money visit your local Jo-Anns tons of stuff went into clearance!!! I was hurting sooo bad I didn't buy anything except 2 lil $1.00 books for Aden...he loves his books!
I am sorry I didn't get it posted last night I had a rough night......my feet are killing me and am having a hard time today walking. Glad I have tonight off... I think after Aden gets picked up I am sitting in the whirlpool tub....calgon take me away!!!!
This is a picture I got from the TV this morning we are getting some snow and more on its way....JOY!!!
I live in Defiance so you can see we will be getting hit with most of it! I am feeling sorry for Gary I am sure he will be working late as his company got the contract for snow removal for General Motors....so I think he might be a little grumpy after work as well....another joy!! What is the scary part I live 5 acres plus from the main road...he might not even be able to make it back here!
Oh I have to thank you Bridget!!! From me doing this 365 project he is finally starting to pick up his underwear and socks!!!! I spotted some outside the hamper on the floor the other day and I told him...hey you don't even want me to have this for my Picture Of The Day for the whole world wide web to see!! What really gets me is that they are not even an inch from the hamper....why???? Now if I can get him to put the toilet seat down!!
Here is another bird shot sorry girls this is what I enjoy!!! Here he or she (not sure how to tell on the woodpeckers) has some suet in his beak!! I found some awesome moss on a spool that we started carrying at work and I have plans to make an album "The Path Home" and using some of these bird photos in it as well...now I have to figure out how to make my bricks out of polymer clay for my side walk. Plus I might also do a mini album of just my bird photos. "For the Birds" sounds like a great title! I make some of my own suet blocks for my birds using my saved bacon grease, oatmeal, cornmeal.peanut butter, and black berries....they love it!!! Also I want to thank you all who visit my other blog....I got 30 comments on Moms Triptych layout!!! That is the most I have ever gotten from a project....I will be passing out an award later for all of those who left comments! I really do appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment it fills my heart with sooo much joy!!!
Well I took soo many pictures during half time on the Super Bowl game I couldn't pick just one! The Who really did an awesome job....I know showing my age here! And I loved the light show! Hope everyone enjoyed the game and enjoyed all the commericals...my fav was the Doritos with the dog and bark collar!!
Here is a picture I took of the bean planter that was on our property when we bought it...I love the look of it and it remains where it was abandoned ...some day hopefully I will find the story behind it and maybe meet the farmer who left it behind. When we bought the property there was no road, no electric nothing we started from scratch. Ohhhh I will never forget how happy I was to get water!!! We use the water from our pond and I am telling you that was hard work! I am sure they heard me yahooing miles away!!
My awesome son is letting me play with his Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT so I took the photo with that before going to work. I have sooo much to learn on this one.
I LOVE the Canon Powershot SX1000IS that Shane bought me.....this is the camera that I have been using since he bought it for me Christmas 2009 I believe.
I am sooo blessed Shane is sooo good to me it brings tears to my eyes thinking of him and how proud I am to be his mother. I know you are reading Shane and I love you!!!
Better get to bed work early tomorrow....hmmmm wonder what every one's picture will be for tomorrow!!
Today's picture I got after it starting snowing again today. That poor cardinal it was sooo windy he was trying to stay safe. I have soo many birds that this feeder has to be filled 2 times a day during the winter.
This feeder was given to me by my dear friend Diane that passed away she is also one of the girls in my layout "Girls Night Out" I love the look of it and when I commented on it one day visiting her she made her husband take it down and give it to me....I miss her terribly I have known her since we were in elementary school...she was something and she could do the best twist ever!!
Here is what I wait for all week! I am hooked on Grey's Anatomy! Gary goes why ya taking a picture of the TV for? and I said Hello what do I watch on Thursdays!!! I am sooo glad we have the Tvio so when I am working on Thursday nights I can still watch it....before that I missed some shows due to someone forgetting to hit the record button on the VCR.
Here is a picture of Aden at his snack time....he was watching Bolt he is really loving this movie! I think he even said Bolt today!! He was really having fun today as you can tell by all the toys around! He looks sooo good in orange!
OMGOSH this is a first for me!! I have watched hundreds of kids in my lifetime and I have NEVER seen this before!!!I was cutting up Aden's banana for his after nap snack and I heard a noise in the laundry room....I turned my head and there he sat in my dryer! Camera was on the bar from taking pictures earlier so I grabbed the camera. When his dad came to get him I said wait till you see my picture of the day! He then informed me Aden does this at home all the time lil stinker even closes the door.....now the laundry room door will be shut at all times. It is my fault that the dryer was open I found that after his bath he sleeps sooo good for me when I wrap him in a warm towel then powder him up. I spoil Gary like that too....(minus the baby powder!) gosh I wonder how good I would sleep if someone would warm a towel for me!!!
Wow I just took notice I didn't post my picture last night! I might need to drink the "focus" Vitamin water more! Same home and watched my Sunday Night line up and fell asleep.
We had dinner at my sons and daughter in laws last night Angie makes the best enchiladas!!! I was soooo stuffed. I am so blessed to have her as a daughter in law!
Here is a picture of their cat hope I can spell it right Cucuy means hairy monster in Spanish. This cat is huge the floor moves when he walks!!! He has lost some weight his tummy use to be sooo close to the floor! He also is a Polydactyl cat meaning he has 8 toes!! And I do think that those tye of cats are a little bigger than other cats.
here is Angies recipe:
2 lbs ground beef 2 cans of chili with beans 1 small onion (chopped) 1 bag of shredded cheese or more depending how cheesey you want it. 2 small cans of red enchilada sauce (mild) 18 corn tortillas chili powder Heat chili in sauce pan, add a can of water for each can of chili. Add salt, pepper and chili powder to season. When heated, scoop out meat and beans and put into a bowl. Keep chili sauce heating in pan on medium low heat. Cook ground beef, add chopped onions, salt, pepper, and chili powder to season meat. When meat is cooked, mix it with bean and meat from chili. Set off to side. Dip 1 tortilla at a time in chili sauce until it is softened, do not let it get soggy. Layer them in cake pan like you would for lasagna. Should have 6 for each layer, covering the bottom of pan. Add a layer of meat and bean mixture. Add a layer of cheese. Pour some enchilada sauce to cover 1st layer. Repeat with 6 more tortillas, meat mixture, cheese and sauce. Should have 3 layers. On the last layer, pour some of chili sauce on top before the cheese and enchilada sauce to keep moist. Bake in oven on 350 degrees, until cheese is melted.
Today's picture of the day is of my boss Theresa!! She is our Store Manager and I love her sooo much! She was caught off guard talking on her microphone and doing her paper work. I really have been blessed when it comes to my job ....I love working at Jo-Anns! I have met soo many amazing guests that come into the store...I am a huggy person and I do greet most of them with a hug....I counted it and it only takes 3 seconds to give a hug so I don't let it interfere with me getting my job done.
Everyday that I work is a new experience and it is so awesome to help someone and inspire them. Today I met a lady who was making sachets for all her family members from her Mothers wedding dress who passed away, the dress was discolored from age and she didn't want to store it in a box. The color was hard to match so she decided to use gold ribbons on it....I told her to even use the buttons as an added embellishment.
And I met the sweetest guy probably in his 70's and got to help him with picking out paint for his train set up...you could see the excitement in his eyes when he told me of his room he has set up...told me how he made his trees and his landscapes.
Then there was a lil girl (she was 3) with some red ruby shoes she was giving her Mom a hard time until I said wow love those red ruby shoes...her Mom told me she owns 2 pairs the only shoes she wears! The lil girl told me my dad is the tin man!
Then I had a lady trying to get me to rent her house in Pensacola Fla....that her Mother had left her....the prettiest part of Florida ever!!! Ohhh how tempted I was!! The Cricut Stars are going to LOVE going to craft with Kathy down there!!
The POTD is the full moon I am freezin my butt off trying to get a good shot...but I am determined to get a picture since this is the first full moon of the year. Plus from what I am reading it is the brightest one of the year and also called the Wolf Moon. Right now this is the best one I got tonight I think I waited too long but I have a feeling I will be back out side tonight still trying to get that perfect shot.
I have been crafting most of my life, I believe it is woven in me from my Grandmother & Mother.
I enjoy sewing, working with polymer clay, stained glass, and any thing paper crafting. I love to try anything new and need to learn to take better photos!
If you have any questions or need to contact me please feel free to email me.
